904L Stainless Steel Forged Fittings has very good resistance to pitting corrosion, stress corrosion cracking and a much better resistance to crevice corrosion than steels of alloy 304L and alloy 316L. Stainless Steel 904L Forged Socket Weld Cross are also used extensively in the chemical process industry including the production of phosphate - based fertilizers. Stainless Steel 904L Forged Threaded Cross has applications in piping systems, heat exchanges, bleaching systems and pollution control equipment. SS 904L Forged Socket Weld Elbow performs better than other austenitic stainless steels due to the higher alloying of nickel and molybdenum. Stainless Steel 904L Forged Threaded Elbow is non-magnetic, and offers excellent formability, toughness and weldability. SS 904L Forged Socket Weld Teestands up extremely well to chlorides in the environment for low pitting and crevice corrosion, as well as stress corrosion cracking. The addition of copper to Stainless Steel 904L Forged Threaded Tee gives it greatly improved resistance to strong reducing acids, particularly sulphuric acid.
