Non-magnetic alloy SS 304 Flanges is the most versatile and the most widely used of all stainless steels. SS 304 Slip On Raised Flanges has lower cost, where reduced corrosion resistance and fabrication characteristics are acceptable. A lower stress relieving temperature of 400 Degree C maximum must be used in Stainless Steel 304 Blind Raised Flanges. To solution anneal, cool this SS 304 Weld Neck Flanges rapidly in air or water from about 1850 Degree F to 2050 Degree F. Stainless Steel 321 Flanges may also be used as an alternative to Stainless Steel 304 Socket Weld Flanges if heavy section welding is required and post-weld heat treatment is not possible. Stainless Steel 304 Threaded Flanges is also a common coil material for vaporizers. When machining SS 304 Lap Joint Flanges, its chip characteristics will be tough and stringy. Stainless Steel 304 Ring Joint Type Flanges have excellent weld-ability characteristics with or without the addition of filler metals. Stainless Steel 304 Spectacle Blind Flanges can be stress relieved at 450 Degree C – 600 Degree C for one hour with little danger of sensitization. SS 304 Orifice Flanges can be easily welded and processed by standard shop fabrication practices. For use in the most corrosive environments however, the welded structure of these Stainless Steel 304 Nippo Flanges should be re-annealed.
